Heard counsel for petitioner, the Government Pleader for Higher Education appearing for 1st respondent and Smt Himabindu, Standing Counsel for 2nd respondent. 2.

Petitioner's grievance is that though he submitted representation on 16.03.2017 to the 2nd respondent to consider his case for promotion to the post of Professor under Career Advancement Scheme along with others in Human Resource Development Centre (Academic Staff College) of the 2nd respondent-University, as per Circular No.E-II(4)CAS/ 2016 dt.09.11.2016 issued by the 2nd respondent, no action has been taken by the 2nd respondent till date. 3.

Smt Himabindu, Standing Counsel for 2nd respondent states that the 2nd respondent will consider the said representation within a period of eight (08) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate his decision to the petitioner.

In view of the said submission, this Writ Petition is disposed of directing the 2nd respondent to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation dt.16.03.2017 within a period of eight (08) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate his decision to the petitioner. There shall be no order as to costs.

Consequently, miscellaneous petitions pending if any shall stand closed.
