THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTI CE SANJAY KUMAR CONTEMPT CASE No.802 of 2016 ORDER:

This contempt case was instituted alleging willful disobedience to the order dated 26.02.2016 passed in W.P.No.6305 of 2016. By the said order, the police authorities were directed to abide by the mandate of the Supreme Court in LALI TA KUMARI V/ s. GOVERNMENT OF UTTAR PRADESH1 and take appropriate action upon the petitioner's complaint dated 19.01.2016.

The Inspector of Police, Gachibowli Police Station, Cyberabad Commissionerate, filed a counter-affidavit. Therein, he stated that pursuant to the complaint made by the petitioner, Crime No.276 of 2016 was registered under Sections 447, 427, 506 read with 34 IPC on the file of the Gachibowli Police Station, Cyberabad, and the same was pending for undertaking further investigation.

In the light of this development, the complaint of the petitioner stands settled. No cause is made out warranting exercise of contempt jurisdiction by this Court.
