HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE RAJA ELANGO WRIT PETITION No.39740 of 2016 ORDER:

The present writ petition is filed by the petitioner seeking to declare the action of the respondents in not completing investigation in Crime No.110 of 2012, on the file of Abid Road, Hyderabad, and consequently, direct the respondents to complete investigation in the above crime and file final report.

Heard and perused the material available on record. The petitioner lodged a complaint before the 2nd respondent complaining that when he is proceeding towards Avanthinagar in an Auto, by collecting gold ornaments approximately 170 grams, from Suman Jewellers, Petlabury, two unknown persons stopped the auto and introduced themselves as police officials and started checking the bag and thereafter, asked him to follow their motorcycle. Then, he checked his bag and found the gold ornaments are missing from his bag. The main grievance of the petitioner is that the occurrence took place on 27.03.2012 and he lodged the complaint on the same day, but the respondent police have not taken any steps to investigate into the matter.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the grievance of the petitioner, without expressing any opinion on merits, respondents Nos.2 and 3 are directed to conduct investigation in the above crime, and file a final report, as expeditiously as possible. With the above directions, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No order as to costs. Consequently, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed.
