THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE A.RAMALINGESWARA RAO WRIT PETITION NO.45334 OF 2016 ORDER:
This writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India challenging the action of the respondents in taking further action pursuant to the complaint, dated 24-10-2016 filed by the 3rd respondent.

A counter-affidavit is filed stating that the 3rd respondent lodged a complaint with Palakollu Police Station, West Godavari District on 10-10-2016 against the petitioners 1 and 2 and four others alleging dowry harassment. On receipt of the same, police called the parties to the police station and counselled them. There was a settlement among the parties. Thereafter, neither of the parties came to the Police Station. The present writ petition is filed apprehending action pursuant to the complaint. In view of settlement of the matter, no further action was taken by the police.

In view of settlement of matter and non prosecution of the case by the complainant, no further orders are required in this matter.

Accordingly, the writ petition is closed. No order as to costs. Miscellaneous petitions, if any pending in this writ petition shall stand closed.
