Heard the counsel for petitioner, and the learned Government Pleader for Assignment, for respondents.

The petitioner's grievance is that he had presented a Gift Deed dt.05.10.2017 before the 3rd respondent for registration purposes, and the 3rd respondent has refused to receive it and register the same. 3.

The learned Government Pleader for Assignment, appearing for respondents, states that petitioner never presented the document for registration before the 3rd respondent.

I am not in a position to believe the said contention, because, without presenting it for registration and without having a cause of action, no party will file a Writ Petition first. 5.

Therefore, the 3rd respondent is directed to receive the document presented by petitioner for the purpose of registration, consider the same strictly in accordance with the provisions of the Registration Act, 1908 and Stamp Act, 1899, and take appropriate action within a period of three (03) weeks from the date of presentation of such document by the petitioner. 6.

It is made clear that if the document is not received by 3rd respondent, serious view will be taken against the 3rd respondent.

Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of with the above directions. No order as to costs.

As a sequel, miscellaneous petitions pending if any in this Writ Petition, shall stand closed.
