According to petitioner, land to an extent of Ac.0.75 cents in Survey No.71/9 of Voppangi Village, Srikakulam District, is erroneously included in the list of prohibited properties under Section 22-A of the Registration Act. Having come to know such inclusion, a representation was made by the petitioner to the District Collector. The District Collector called for the report and the report is submitted giving the ground position and suggestion was also made for exclusion of the property from the list prohibited properties. Alleging inaction on the said representation, this Writ Petition is filed.

Since the petitioner has already submitted representation before the District Collector for exclusion of the property from the list of prohibited properties and the District Collector called for the report from the subordinate officers, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the District Collector to examine the claim of the petitioner on due consideration of the report submitted by the subordinate authorities in pursuance of the proceedings in S.R.No.5941709/2016/H6, dated nil.05.2016 and pass appropriate orders by assigning due reasons in support of his decision and communicate the said decision to the petitioner within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs.
Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in the Writ Petition shall stand closed.
