Petitioner alleges that he submitted application before the Revenue Divisional Officer, Naidupet, SPSR Nellore District, under the provisions of the Andhra Pradesh Agricultural Land (Conversion into Non-Agricultural Purposes) Act, 2006 for conversion of land to an extent of Ac.0.31 cents in Survey No.119/1, Pannamgadu Gram Panchayat, Tada Mandal into nonagricultural purpose. By order dated 10.04.2017, the Revenue Divisional Officer rejected the application of the petitioner. Aggrieved thereby, the petitioner preferred appeal before the District Collector on 01.05.2017 and the same was acknowledged by the office of the District Collector, but so far the said appeal is not disposed of. Alleging inaction in disposal of the appeal, causing lot of hardship and suffering, this Writ Petition is filed. 3.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that alleging inaction in not disposing of the appeal filed by the petitioner, a representation dated 03.10.2017 was also submitted to the District Collector by registered post, but there is no response. 4.

If what is contended in the affidavit filed in support of the Writ Petition is true that the appeal was filed by the petitioner and the same was received by the District Collector, the District Collector is directed to consider the appeal preferred by the petitioner against the decision of the Revenue Divisional Officer for conversion of agricultural land into non-agricultural purpose and

pass appropriate orders as warranted by law by assigning due reasons in support of the said decision. The decision shall be made and communicated to the petitioner within a period of ten weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is also open to the petitioner to make a request to the District Collector to provide personal hearing and if such request is made, the same shall be considered objectively.

The Writ Petition is accordingly disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.

Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in the Writ Petition shall stand closed.
