[ Heard learned counsel for the petitioners, learned Government pleader for Revenue for respondents 1, 4 to 7 and learned Government Pleader for Medical Health for respondent No.2.

According to the averments in the affidavit filed in support of the writ petition, compensation was paid to the petitioners to acquire their lands. The grievance of the petitioners is that the compensation paid to them is only nominal and in terms of the provisions of the Right to Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 (for short 'the Act, 2013') they are entitled to higher compensation. Though petitioners made several representations to various authorities, the same are not acted upon.

The material on record would disclose that a Sangam is formed in the name of Meditech Nirvasthula Sangam, and they were making representation demanding certain benefits in lieu of taking over their land.

A bare perusal of the representation relied by the petitioners do not show that applications were made for enhancement of compensation under Section 64 of the Act, 2013 by the individual property owners whose property was acquired. The demands made by the Sangam are on several aspects in addition to the issue of enhancement of compensation. No relief

- 3 - can be granted when no such applications are made by the individuals under section 64 of the Act, 2013 whose lands are acquired and who are not satisfied with the compensation determined, seeking enhancement of compensation. 5.

Thus, granting liberty to the petitioners to make appropriate applications to seek enhancement of compensation under Section 64 of the Act, 2013, the Writ Petition is disposed of. Pending miscellaneous petitions shall stand closed. __________________ P.NAVEEN RAO,J 23rd November, 2018 Rds
