The petitioner was appointed as Field Assistant in Deenabhandupuram Gram Panchayat, Nandigam Mandal, Srikakulam District, under Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS), by the Mandal Parishad Development Officer on 25.05.2007. While so, a suspension-cum-show cause notice was issued on 15.05.2015 by the fourth respondent asking the petitioner to submit his written explanation to the said show cause notice. It was alleged in the suspension-cum-show cause notice that the petitioner was not maintaining the records and registers properly, withdrawn an amount of Rs.3,843/- in the name of two migrated wage seekers and not conducting weekly meetings with mates in the village etc. The petitioner submitted a detailed explanation to the said show cause notice on 01.06.2015 and, when no orders were passed thereon till date, the present Writ Petition is filed.

In view of the same, the fourth respondent is directed to consider the explanation of the petitioner dated 01.06.2015 and pass appropriate orders thereon in accordance with law within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The Writ Petition is, accordingly, disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.

As a sequel thereto, the miscellaneous petitions pending in this Writ Petition, if any, shall stand closed.
