THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE RAJA ELANGO WRIT PETITION No.38981 OF 2016 ORDER:

This writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking to issue a writ, order or direction, more particularly one in the nature of writ of mandamus declaring the action of the respondents against representation, dated 21-10-2016 in not conducting enquiry into the affairs of the 3rd respondent - Temple for appointment of the petitioner as Pujari and its lands under the provisions of Andhra Pradesh Charitable and Hindu Religious Institutions and Endowments Act, 1987, as illegal and arbitrary. The grievance of petitioners is that even though representation was given to the Assistant Commissioner, Endowments Department, Guntur District, for appointment of the petitioner as Archaka, the same is not considered even though it has been pending for a long time.

The representation, filed before this Court, is addressed to the Assistant Commissioner, Endowments Department and the prayer of the petitioner in this writ petition is to direct the 2nd Respondent - Commissioner of Endowments to consider his representation. Hence, the petitioner is directed to give his representation to the 2nd Respondent on or before 25th November, 2016 and on such representation, the 2nd Respondent is directed to consider the same and pass appropriate orders within a period of one month.

Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.

Miscellaneous Petitions pending, if any, in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
