2. The issue involved in the present writ petition is squarely covered by the order dated 30-7-2008 passed by a Division Bench of this Court in W.P.No.16481 of 2008. In the said writ petition, having found that the petitioner and his family members therein are in possession of the plot in question, the Division Bench extended time by 3 weeks for payment of compensation by the petitioner at the rate of Rs.180/- per square yard together with interest at 12% per annum from the date of passing of the order.
3. The petitioner in the instant case is similarly placed. Therefore, the writ petition is to be disposed of in terms of the order passed by the Division Bench in the above writ petition. The petitioner is directed to pay compensation at the rate of Rs.180/- per square yard together with interest at 12% per annum. In this context, it is submitted by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner that the amount in terms of the order passed by the Division Bench has been paid to the respondents. The learned counsel would further undertake that if any amount is due and the same is communicated to the petitioner, he is ready to pay the amount.
4. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of in terms of the order dated 30-7-2008 passed by the Division Bench of this Court in W.P.No.16481 of 2008. On receiving the payment of compensation in full, the respondents are directed to complete all the formalities within a period of 3 (three) weeks. The miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall
stand closed. No costs.
