PNR,J WP No.40894 of 2018 ORDER:

After obtaining building permission, petitioner constructed building complex in house bearing No.6-3-670 of Punjagutta, Hyderabad. After completion of building, petitioner applied for Occupancy Certificate on 09.07.2018. Petitioner also applied for electrical power supply connection to the respondent-company. Alleging that on the ground of occupancy certificate is not produced the power connection is not provided, this writ petition is filed.

Admittedly, the application submitted by petitioner on 09.07.2018 is not processed by the GHMC so far. Having regard to the same, while directing the GHMC to process the occupancy certificate as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of three months from the date of receipt of copy of this order, the respondent-Southern Power Distribution Company of Telangana is directed to process the application submitted by petitioner for provision of electrical power supply to the subject building, subject to fulfilment of other conditions and without insisting for production of occupancy certificate. However, this power supply connection is operative for a period of six months or earlier if building occupancy certificate is rejected. In the event of occupancy certificate granted by the GHMC, power supply connection would be treated as regular. Writ Petition is accordingly disposed of.
