Heard both sides. With their consent, the present writ petition is being disposed of at the admission stage. 2.

The case on hand is covered by an order passed by this Court in W.P.No. 11066 of 2018 and batch, dated 25.04.2018, wherein paragraphs (5) and (6) read as follows: " 5.

Learned Special Government Pleader, on instructions from the 1st respondent, has stated that vide Memo No.2121/ M.I(1)/ 2018-1 dated 16.04.2018 and Memo No.

2121/ M.I(1)/ 2018-3, dated 18.04.2018 fresh guidelines/ time lines have been prescribed, that 2nd respondent will re-examine the applications of the petitioners and others, who were rejected by orders similar to those passed on 29.03.2017 for decasting sand, and issue speaking order with scientific and technical reasons on case to case basis of each of the petitioners/ applicants.

The 2nd respondent shall strictly adhere to the time lines mentioned in the Memos issued by 1st respondent in that regard and any violation to do so will be viewed very seriously. In the event the 2nd respondent considers favourably to petitioners' applications, the 4th respondent shall enter into agreements with petitioners afresh and decast the sand from

their patta lands within the time stipulated in the above Memos. In case applications for decasting of any of the petitioners are rejected, the petitioners are at liberty to approach this Court challenging the same."

Following the above said order dated 25.04.2018 in W.P.No.11066 of 2018 and batch and for the reasons recorded therein, the present writ petition is disposed of in terms of the said order, directing the 2nd respondent to strictly adhere to the time lines mentioned in the Memos issued by 1st respondent in that regard, and any violation to do so will be viewed very seriously. In the event the 2nd respondent considers the petitioners' applications favourably, the 4th respondent shall enter into agreements with petitioners afresh and decast the sand from their patta lands within the time stipulated in the above Memos. In case applications for decasting of any of the petitioners are rejected, the petitioners are at liberty to approach this Court challenging the same. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
