I.A. Nos.2 and 3 of 2018 are filed seeking permission to compound the offences and to record the compromise entered into by the parties and quash the proceedings against the petitioners in C.C. No.720 of 2017 on the file of the Court of XV Metropolitan Magistrate, Medchal, registered for the offences punishable under Section 498-A of I.P.C. and Sections 3 and 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961.

Heard learned counsel for the petitioners, learned Public Prosecutor, appearing for the 1st respondent - State, and learned counsel for the 2nd respondent - de-facto complainant.

The parties, together, with their respective counsel, are present in the Court and on being specifically asked, both the parties confirm the terms of compromise as recorded in the joint memo appended to the Application in I.A. No.3 of 2018.

The terms of the compromise show that with the intervention of elders and well wishers, the disputes between the parties were settled amicably and a compromise was reached, wherein it was agreed that a total sum of Rs.39,00,000/- would be paid to the 2nd respondent towards full and final settlement and the 2nd respondent has already withdrawn D.V.C. No.13 of 2017 and Villa No.166, Neighbourhood Villas, Gundla Pochampally Village, Medchal District, was handed over to Petitioners 2 and 3, further agreed to withdraw the C.C. No.645 of 2017, on the file of the Court of XV Metropolitan Magistrate, Medchal; whereas, the 3rd petitioner (A-2) undertakes to withdraw C.C. No.1091 of 2018 on the file of the Court of XV Metropolitan Magistrate, Medchal. As per the compromise, the 2nd respondent already received Rs.20,00,000/- through two

cheques, agreed to receive the balance amount of Rs.19,00,000/- as and when TR,J Crl.P. No.12312 of 2018 the learned Judge, Family Court, Kukatpally, grants divorce to her and also expressed no objection to compound the offences and quash the proceedings against the petitioners in C.C. No.720 of 2017 on the file of the Court of XV Metropolitan Magistrate, Medchal. Since, I am satisfied that the aforesaid compromise is executed by the parties out of their free will and they confirm the terms thereof, when being specifically asked, there is no impediment in recording the said compromise.

Accordingly, both these Applications are allowed. 6.

In view of the above, the instant Criminal Petition is allowed and further proceedings against the petitioners, who are A-1 to A-5, in C.C. No.720 of 2017 on the file of the Court of XV Metropolitan Magistrate, Medchal, are hereby quashed.

As a sequel, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this Petition shall stand closed.
