This Criminal Petition, under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, is filed by the petitioner-defacto complainant in C.C. No.196 of 2017 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate of First Class, Puttur, with the following prayer: "...to set aside the proceedings of the respondent and thereby direct the respondent police to release the entire amount lying in the shape of fixed deposit vide C.C. No.196 of 2017 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate of First Class, Puttur, ..."

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Assistant Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent-State.

It appears the petitioner did not approach the Court below for the relief sought in this petition. Giving liberty to the petitioner to file appropriate application before the court concerned for redressal of the grievance, the Criminal Petition is disposed of.

Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this Criminal Petition, shall stand closed.
