Heard learned counsel for the petitioner.

The petitioner challenges the impugned proceedings dated 31-07-2016 assessing the amount of Rs.80,406/- and also payment of Rs.32,000/-towards compounding fee. Learned counsel for the petitioner says that already compounding fee of Rs.32,000/- has been paid by the petitioner.

Heard learned Standing Counsel for the respondents. In view of the facts and circumstances, this writ petition is disposed of directing the respondents to restore the power supply to the petitioner premises subject to payment of Rs.25,000/- (Rupees twenty five thousand only). The said payment will be subject to further enquiry under Section 154(5) of the Electricity Act and the petitioner is liable to pay balance amount depending on the outcome of enquiry.
