THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE A.V.SESHA SAI WRIT PETITION No.41506 of 2018 ORDER:

According to the petitioners herein, as against the Orders of the Collector & District Magistrate, East Godavari District, Kakinada, vide Ref.C5/1213/98, dated 31.08.2000, canceling the caste certificates of the petitioners herein, they filed statutory appeal under Section 7 of the Act 16 of 1993 on 11.03.2005 before the 1st respondent-State Government.

The grievance of the petitioners herein in the present Writ Petition is that despite lapse of considerable length of time, no action has been taken on the said appeal.

Having heard the learned Counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader, taking into consideration the nature of the grievance, this Court deems it appropriate to dispose of the Writ Petition, with a direction to the 1st respondent to dispose of the appeal, dated 11.03.2005, said to have been filed by the petitioners herein against the Orders, dated 31.08.2000, of the District Collector, as expeditiously as possible, if the same is pending as on date, as per law.
