When the matter is taken up for hearing, none appeared for the petitioner.

The petitioner in this writ petition is challenging the action of respondents in not reinstating him into service as GD Constable under the control of 3rd respondent, as sought by him in his representation dated 17.12.2015.

Counsel for the Central Government has informed the Court that during the pendency of this writ petition, the grievance of the petitioner has been resolved and the petitioner was reinstated into service vide proceedings dated 05.05.2017.

In view of the subsequent development in the form of reinstatement of the petitioner vide proceedings dated 05.05.2017, the cause in the writ petition does not survive for adjudication. The writ petition is accordingly closed. No order as to costs.
