This Criminal Petition, under Section 438 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, is filed by the petitioner/ accused No.24, for grant of anticipatory bail in the event of his arrest in Crime No.462 of 2016 on the file of the Airport Police Station, Visakhapatnam District, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 420, 468, 471 read with Section 120-B of I.P.C.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner/ accused No.24, learned Additional Public Prosecutor representing the respondentState and perused the record. 3 .

The specific allegation against the petitioner/ accused No.24 is that he acted as an agent/ broker for procuring candidates to seek false date of birth certificates, at the instance of accused Nos.1 and

2. The other brokers acted in tune with the accused Nos.1 and 2. Consequently, huge number of date of birth certificates were fabricated by entering false data in the computer system relating to Panchayat Raj department. There are specific and grave allegations against the petitioner/ accused No.24. Granting of bail to the petitioner/ accused No.24 would hinder investigation. It is not a fit case to allow this application.

Hence, the Criminal Petition is dismissed.

Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this Criminal Petition, shall stand closed.
