SMT JUSTICE T.RAJANI CRIMINAL PETITION No.12295 OF 2018 ORDER:

1.

This Criminal Petition is filed seeking for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner, who is accused No.1, in Crime No.351 of 2018 on the file of the Station House Officer, Chintalapudi Police Station, West Godavari District.

2.

The offences alleged are under Sections 498-A and 323 of I.P.C. and Sections 3 and 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961. 3.

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner, learned Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent-State, and perused the record. 4.

A perusal of the complaint shows that there are specific allegations against the petitioner that he used to harass the de-facto complainant, who is his wife, both physically and mentally, with the demand of additional dowry, and also used to beat her with the support of other accused.

5.

Hence, considering the above, this Court opines that this is not a fit case for grant of bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, the Criminal Petition is dismissed.

6.

As a sequel, the miscellaneous applications, if any pending, shall stand dismissed.
