M/S. Mee Channel Network, v. The State Of Andhra Pradesh,
HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE C. PRAVEEN KUMAR WRIT PETITION No. 17961 of 2016 ORDER:
Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and Government Pleader for Home. With the consent of both the parties, the writ petition is taken up for disposal at the admission stage itself.
The present writ petition came to be filed seeking issuance of writ of mandamus to direct the respondents not to interfere with the operations of the petitioner as a Master Cable Operator within the limits of Dharmavaram Municipality, Ananthapuram District, except following due process of law.
Though various grounds are raised in the writ petition, learned counsel for the petitioners restricts his prayer seeking a direction to the police not to interfere with the operations of the petitioner as a Master Cable Operator. Government Pleader for Home submits that no such action will be initiated except in accordance with law.
Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case and without going into the merits of the case, the present writ petition is disposed of, directing the respondents 3 to 7 not to take any action against the
petitioner who is a Master Cable Operator within the limits of Dharmavaram Municipality, except in accordance with law or by following due process of law. No order as to costs.
Consequently, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition shall stand closed. _________________________ JUSTICE C. PRAVEEN KUMAR 08.06.2016 Note: Issue C.C. in two days.
