KESHAVA RAO WRIT PETITION No. 34791 OF 2017 ORDER: (Oral) (Per Hon'ble Sri Justice SURESH KUMAR KAIT) The writ petition is filed with the following prayer: "For the reasons stated in the accompanying affidavit, the petitioner prays that this Hon'ble Court may be pleased to issue writ, order or direction more particularly one in the nature of writ of Habeas Corpus under Article 226 of the Constitution of India directing the 4th respondent to produce Thambisetty Akkayya, S/o. Venkatapathy before this Hon'ble Court and he may be ordered to be released forthwith after declaring his detention as illegal and unconstitutional and pass such other order or orders as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper in the circumstances of the case."

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents pursuant to order, dated 24.10.2017, submits that the alleged detenu was arrested in Crime No.164 of 2017 for the offences punishable under Sections 147, 148, 379, 307, 353, 120(B), 109, read with 149 IPC, Section 20(I), (C); (II), (III), (IV), VI and (X) of A.P. Forest Act of 1967, Section 20(d), (I)(a)(b), II(a)(b) of A.P. Forest Amend Act, 2016, Rule 3 of A.P. Sandal Wood and Red Sanders Wood Transits Rules, 1969, Section 29 (ii) (b) of A.P. Forest Amend Act, 2016 and Section 3 of PD PP Act, 1984 by the Sub-Inspector of Police, Vinjamuru. In view of the above, no further direction is required to be passed in the present case.

The writ petition is accordingly closed. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall also stand closed. No costs.
