THE HON'BLE THE ACTING CHIEF JUSTICE RAMESH RANGANATHAN AND THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE S.V.BHATT CONTEMPT CASE NO.311 OF 2016 ORDER: {Per the Hon'ble the Acting Chief Justice Ramesh Ranganathan} The order, violation of which is alleged in this Contempt Case, is the order passed in WP.No.35304 of 2015 dated 12.11.2015 wherein, while leaving it open to the petitioner and its members jointly or independently to make representations to the first respondent within a period of two weeks, this Court expressed its hope and trust that the first respondent would consider and decide the representations, if any, made as expeditiously as possible, and preferably within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of representations.

No direction was issued by the Division Bench, and the observations in the order is merely an expression of hope and trust. Even otherwise, the first respondent, by proceedings dated 31.03.2016, considered the petitioner's representation and informed them of their view in the matter. We are satisfied that the order of this Court has not been violated, much less wilfully and deliberately. We see no reason, therefore, to proceed against the respondents under the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971.

The Contempt Case is, accordingly, closed.

Miscellaneous applications, if any, pending shall stand closed.
