THE HONOURABLE THE CHIEF JUSTICE SRI THOTTATHIL B. RADHAKRISHNAN AND THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE A. RAJASHEKER REDDY WRIT APPEAL No.1739 OF 2018 JUDGMENT: (Per Hon'ble Sri Justice A. Rajasheker Reddy) This Writ Appeal is filed by the unsuccessful petitioner against the order dated 12.09.2018 in W.P. (TR) No.5428 of 2017, whereby the learned single Judge dismissed the writ petition rejecting his plea.

2. The challenge of the appellant in the writ petition is that his candidature was not considered for the post of Technical Assistant (Tracer) though he possessed equivalent qualification of I.T.I. (Draftsman Civil) prescribed in the notification but from other State.

3. Admittedly, the appellant does not possess the requisite qualification prescribed in the notification; the qualification possessed by the appellant is from the State of Karnataka which is not the qualification prescribed in the notification.

4. The learned single Judge holding that the appellant does not possess the qualification of I.T.I. (Draftsman Civil) recognized by Andhra Pradesh State Technical Board, dismissed the writ petition.

5. A reading of the notification made available at page No.15 of the material papers also would show that the candidates, who possess the prescribed qualification of I.T.I. (Draftsman Civil)

HCJ & ARR,J WA No.1739 of 2018 recognised by the Andhra Pradesh State Technical Board, alone are eligible for applying to the post of Technical Assistant (Tracer). The notification also do not allow for equivalent qualification. Thus, we do not find any error or illegality in the order impugned in this writ appeal.

6. Therefore, the Writ Appeal is dismissed, at the admission stage itself. No order as to costs.

As a sequel thereto, Miscellaneous Applications, if any pending, in the writ appeal stand closed.
