This criminal petition under Sections 437 and 439 of the Code of Criminal Procedure is filed by the petitioner/A.1 seeking bail in C.O.R.No.71 of 2016 on the file of the Excise Police Station, Tandur, Ranga Reddy District, registered for the offences under Section 8(c) read with Section 22(c) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act.

Heard and perused.

The allegation against the petitioner/A.1 is that the petitioner was found in illegal possession of 2 kgs of Alprazolam. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has not committed any offence and that he has been falsely implicated in the case. He prays this Court to grant bail to the petitioner. Considering the fact that the quantity of Alprazolam, which was found in possession of petitioner/A.1 is commercial quantity, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner/A.1.
