THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE VILAS V.AFZULPURKAR WRIT PETITION No.447 of 2016 ORDER:

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Government Pleader for Revenue.

The petitioner states that he purchased the lands admeasuring Ac.0.11 cents and Acs.4.20 cents in R.S.Nos.514 and 515 of Samarlakot Village and Mandal, East Godavari District. He made an application, dated 07.10.2015, before the Tahsildar, Samarlakot Mandal, East Godavari District, the 4th respondent, under Form VI-A of the Andhra Pradesh Rights in Land and Pattadar Passbooks Act, 1971 (for short, 'the Act') for issuance of pattadar passbook and title deeds and paid the requisite fee. Alleging that no action is taken by the 4th respondent, the present Writ Petition is filed. It is evident that the proceedings under Form VI-A of the Act are required to be considered in a time span of 45 days. Considering the fact that the statutory application of the petitioner is pending since 07.10.2015, the 4th respondent is directed to consider the said application and pass appropriate orders, expeditiously, preferably within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

The Writ Petition is, accordingly, disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.

Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
