HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE SURESH KUMAR KAIT C.C. No.2366 OF 2017 ORDER: (Oral) Pursuant to order dated 30.11.2017, the respondent is personally present in Court with his learned counsel and submits that vide Award dated 07.11.2015, the compensation has been awarded in favour of the petitioner, and thereafter, the respondent has written various letters asking the petitioner to receive amount. However, the petitioner has not turned up. It is specifically stated that the compensation is awarded under Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 (30 of 2013).

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has not received any amount till date.

3. Learned counsel for the respondent states that the cheque is ready. The petitioner is at liberty to receive it at any time.

4. In view of the statement made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, I hereby drop the proceedings against the respondent.

5. Accordingly, the Contempt Case is closed. There shall be no order as to costs.

6. I hereby make it clear that if the petitioner aggrieved with the compensation awarded by the respondent, he is at liberty to file a petition for enhancement.
