Challenging the action of the third respondent in not releasing the petitioner's Bajaj Pulsar Motor Cycle, bearing Registration No. TS-02-EC-8103, which was seized in C.O.R.No. 470 of 2016, for the offence under Section 7(A) read with Section 8 (e) of A.P. Prohibition Act, 1955, the present Writ Petition is preferred.
Heard learned counsel appearing for petitioner and the learned Government Pleader for Prohibition and Excise (TG) for the respondents.
Without availing the remedy available to the petitioner, he directly invoked the jurisdiction of this Court to release the vehicle. Hence, granting liberty to the petitioner to file a petition before the second respondent-Deputy Commissioner of Prohibition and Excise, Karimnagar, this Writ Petition is dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs. As a sequel thereto, miscellaneous petitions, pending if any, shall stand closed.
