The petitioner is a practising advocate in the Courts of Vizianagaram. He completed 14 years of practice as an advocate. He states that he is eligible and qualified to be appointed as Government Pleader. The conditions for appointment of Law Officers is governed by G.O.Ms.No.187 dated 06.12.2000. It is the case of the petitioner that the names of the respondents 3 to 7 were included in the panel by the second respondent and the same was sent to the first respondent for consideration for appointment to the post of Government Pleader in the District Court, Vizianagaram. He submits that the fourth respondent is acting as Notary and he is not eligible to be considered to the said post. Similarly, the seventh respondent is not having 10 years of experience and in spite of the same his name was included in the panel. No material is placed before this Court in support of the said averments. However, it is for the first respondent to consider the eligibility of the candidates sent for appointment to the post of Government Pleader as recommended by the second respondent.

In the circumstances, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, liberty is given to the petitioner to bring it to the notice of the first respondent with regard to ineligibility of any of the candidates included in the panel of names sent by the second respondent for consideration for appointment to the post of Government Pleader in the District Court, Vizianagaram within a period of seven (7) days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and it is for the first respondent to

consider the said objections before taking a decision on the appointment of Government Pleader in the District Court, Vizianagaram. The Writ Petition is, accordingly, disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.

As a sequel thereto, the miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed.
