Alleging certain illegalities in functioning of the Kanur Gram Panchayat, petitioner complained to the Divisional Panchayat Officer, Kovvur. The Divisional Panchayat Officer issued Memo dated 01.10.2018 directing the Extension Officer, Panchayat Raj and Rural Development, to enquire into the allegations. The Extension Officer/Mandal Parishad Development Officer seems to have conducted enquiry and petitioner was asked to appear before him on 08.11.2018. However, petitioner failed to appear on the said date.

Having regard to various issues raised by the petitioner, the Mandal Parishad Development Officer informed the petitioner vide his proceedings dated 08.11.2018 that the information sought by petitioner is not available with him and it is available with the Gram Panchayat and therefore petitioner was asked to approach the Panchayat Secretary of the Gram Panchayat to elicit the information sought by him. A copy of the proceedings dated 08.11.2018 of the Mandal Parishad Development Officer is placed before this Court.

In view of the said proceedings, the grievance of the petitioner that the respondents are not acting as per the Memo of the Divisional Panchayat Officer, dated 01.10.2018, no more survives.

The Writ Petition is accordingly disposed of granting liberty to the petitioner to work out his remedies as available in law. Pending Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, shall stand closed. ____________________ P. NAVEEN RAO, J Date:30.11.2018 KH
