CVNR,J & MGR, J C.C.No.2272 of 2017 Date:06.07.2018 Order: (Per the Hon'ble Sri Justice C.V.Nagarjuna Reddy) This contempt case is filed, alleging willful disobedience of the order dated 11.09.2017 in W.P.No.7829 of 2017. This Court has expressed its prima facie opinion that respondent No.3 has violated the order of this Court by giving effect to promotions to 28 Police Constables as Head Constables. On two previous occasions, respondent No.3 was personally present and at his instance, the case has been adjourned to today, for taking corrective steps. After the case was last adjourned on 29.06.2018, respondent No.3 has filed an affidavit, wherein he has stated that they have issued proceedings dated 27.06.2018, cancelling the promotion of 28 Police Constables, pending disposal of the appeal filed by the petitioner and others. It is further stated that the respondents will initiate action as per the directions contained in order dated 11.09.2017 in W.P.No.7829 of 2017 and order dated 12.12.2017 of respondent No.2, disposing of the appeal.

Inasmuch as respondent No.3 has taken corrective steps by canceling the promotions, we are inclined to close the case. 3.

Accordingly, the contempt case is closed and respondents are discharged from contempt proceedings.
