THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE CHALLA KODANDA RAM WRIT PETITION No.13350 of 2016 ORDER:

This Writ Petition is filed seeking a direction to the respondents to disconnect power supply to the petitioner's service connections vide H.S.C.No.7111301050908 and 7111301122435 considering his representations dated 09.02.2016 and 12.03.2016.

Petitioner claims to be owner and possessor of house bearing D.No.17/728, Neeruganti Street, Old Town, Ananthapur. He seeks disconnection of power supply to service connections vide H.S.C.No.7111301050908 and 7111301122435 on the ground that he intends to demolish the old building and construct a new one. Hence the Writ Petition. Inspite of service of papers on the learned standing counsel for the respondents and though the matter is listed under the caption 'for Orders', neither there is representation for the respondents nor counter affidavit has been filed. In the circumstances, there can be no objection for the respondent - authorities to disconnect power supply when the petitioner no longer avails the power supply. Treating the request of the petitioner made on 09.02.2016 and 12.03.

2016 as the date of issuance of notice, the service connection to the petitioner's house shall be disconnected in terms of the notified terms. If any dues are liable to be paid by the petitioner, the same shall be intimated to him by the respondents within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, and the same shall be paid by the petitioner. The Writ Petition is, accordingly, disposed of.

Miscellaneous Petition pending, if any, shall also stand disposed of. However, in the circumstances, without costs. CHALLA KODANDA RAM, J Dt:21.06.2016 usd
