UMA DEVI Contempt Case No.2156 of 2017 Order: (Per the Hon'ble The Acting Chief Justice Ramesh Ranganathan) Respondents 1 to 4, in the Contempt Case, are present in Court today. This Contempt Case is filed alleging wilful and deliberate violation of the order passed by us in W.A. No. 1073 of 2017 dated 1.8.2017 whereby the appellants were directed, pending further orders in W.P. No. 17971 of 2016, to release the subject tractor to its owner on his furnishing documents in proof of his ownership of the vehicle. In his counter affidavit, the District Forest Officer, Warangal has stated that the subject vehicles were released on 12.2.2018, and was received by the petitioners who acknowledged its receipt, in the presence of witnesses, on 14.2.2018.

As the order of this Court has been complied with, albeit belatedly, we see no reason to proceed against the respondents under the Contempt of Courts Act. The Contempt Case is, accordingly, closed.
