HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE SURESH KUMAR KAIT WRIT PETITION No.25199 of 2016 ORDER:

Vide the present petition, the petitioner seeks a direction thereby directing respondent No.2 to pass necessary orders on his application dated 18.01.2016 for issuance of passport. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that the petitioner applied for passport on 18.01.2016 and, thereafter, sent reminder on 22.05.2016 to the Chief Passport Officer, Regional Passport Office, Hyderabad. Despite which, passport has not been issued to the petitioner.

Keeping in view the averments made in the said petition, and the submissions of the counsel for the petitioner, I hereby direct respondent No.2 to decide the application of the petitioner within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of the order. The decision taken by respondent No.2 shall be conveyed to the petitioner within three days thereafter.

In view of the above, Writ Petition is disposed of. Needless to mention that, if the petitioner is aggrieved by the action or inaction of respondent No.2, he may approach appropriate forum. Miscellaneous Petition pending, if any, shall also stand disposed of. However, in the circumstances, without costs. SURESH KUMAR KAIT, J Dt:01.08.2016 usd
