ORAL ORDER:

Heard learned counsel for petitioner and learned standing counsel for respondents 2 to 5.

Petitioner claims to be owner of House No. 9-61/1, Rampuram village, Pendurthi mandal, Visakapatnam. Petitioner claims to have applied domestic electrical service connection on 1.3.2017 and paid Rs.16,896/- by way of Challan in State Bank of India and though spot inspection was conducted on 18.5.2017 alleging that neighbors objected for provision of electricity supply connection, electricity supply connection is not provided to petitioner, causing lot of hardship and suffering. Hence, this writ petition.

According to learned counsel for petitioner, there is existing electrical pole which is at 50 meters distance from the house of petitioner which is convenient to provide electric supply connection and there cannot be any objection from neighbors and in spite of several requests made, so far, no electric supply connection is provided. 4.

According to learned standing counsel for respondent company, respondent company is willing to provide power supply from the pole located at 50 meters distance from the house of petitioner subject to payment of additional charges. Learned counsel for petitioner submits that petitioner is willing to pay the additional charges. 5.

The respondent company shall give an estimate of the amount required to be paid by the petitioner within one week from the date of receipt of copy of this order and if petitioner pays the amount as demanded, power supply connection shall be provided to the petitioner within a period of two weeks from the date of payment of amount. 6.

Accordingly, writ petition is disposed of.

No costs.
