This petition is filed for a writ of Mandamus declaring the action of the respondents in not releasing the power supply to the petitioner building at premises bearing Plot No.328, situated in Sy.No.11/21 and 11/21 of Village Khanammet, Serilingampally Mandal, Ranga Reddy District, as illegal and arbitrary and for a consequential direction to the respondents to release the power supply without insisting for occupancy certificate. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and Sri R.Vinod Reddy, learned Standing Counsel for respondents 1 to 4 and Sri Sampath Prabhakar Reddy, learned Standing Counsel for respondent No.5.

Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, it is open for the petitioner to make application to the competent authority for grant of power connection and on such application, the competent authority is directed to consider the same, in accordance with Rules and Regulations and take action accordingly. With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No order as to costs.

As a sequel thereto, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in the writ petition, shall stand closed.
