Kolimi Julekha v. The State Of Andhra Pradesh
THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE A.V.SESHA SAI WRIT PETITION No.43481 OF 2018 ORDER:
Heard learned counsel for the petitioners, learned Government Pleader for Social Welfare, and Sri G.Seshadri, learned Standing Counsel, apart from perusing the entire material on record.
When the matter is taken up, it is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioners that, for redressal of their grievance, petitioners herein submitted a representation on 29.10.2018 to the District Collector, Kurnool District-third respondent herein, who is the Chairperson of the District Monitoring Committee, as per clause-9 of G.O.Rt.No.42, Minorities Welfare (EDM) Department, dated 30.04.2015, but no action has been taken so far despite lapse of considerable length of time.
It is further submitted that, without considering the said representation, the respondent authorities are proceeding with the process of finalizing the applications and the said action is highly illegal and arbitrary. Eventually a request is made by the learned counsel for the petitioners to direct the third respondent to respond to the representation, dated 29.10.2018, by fixing some timeframe.
Recording the above submission, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, Writ Petition is
disposed of, directing the third respondent to verify the representation, dated 29.10.2018, said to have been submitted by the petitioners, and pass appropriate orders/take appropriate action, strictly in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs.
Miscellaneous Petitions pending consideration, if any, in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
