HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE SURESH KUMAR KAIT WRIT PETITION No.28857 of 2016 ORDER:

Vide the present petition, the petitioners question the land acquisition award passed by respondent No.6 in proceedings No.C1/965/2013 dated 24.09.2015 as violative of the provisions contained in Section 26 and Schedule 1 of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 (for short 'the Act').

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submits that the petitioners made representation dated 26.11.2015 to respondent No.2 (District Collector, Khammam District, Khammam). However, till date, respondent No.2 has not considered and disposed of the aforesaid representation. Keeping in view the averments made in the petition, and the submission of the learned counsel for the petitioners, I hereby direct respondent No.2 (District Collector, Khammam District, Khammam) to decide the petitioners' representation dated 26.11.2015 within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The decision taken shall be communicated to the petitioners within one week thereafter. In view of the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of.

Miscellaneous Petition pending, if any, shall also stand disposed of. However, in the circumstances, without costs. SURESH KUMAR KAIT, J Dt:27.08.2016 usd
