HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE C. PRAVEEN KUMAR WRIT PETITION No. 43487 of 2018 ORDER:

1) The present writ petition came to be filed seeking issuance of writ of mandamus declaring the action of respondent Nos. 2 and 3 in not releasing the vehicles bearing Nos.AP 10V 6276 and MH 34A 6678 of petitioner Nos.1 and 2, as illegal.

2) The Government Pleader for Prohibition and Excise, on instructions, states that the vehicles are now produced before the appropriate Criminal Court in Crime Nos.418 and 419 of 2018, and that the petitioners have to make an application before the concerned authority seeking release of the vehicles.

3) Having regard to the above, the present writ petition is disposed of directing the petitioners to make an application before the concerned, seeking release of the above vehicles, as per the provisions of the Cr.P.C., after giving prior notice to the Public Prosecutor concerned, in which event the same shall be disposed of on the same day, in accordance with law. No costs.
