HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE ABHINAND KUMAR SHAVILI WRIT PETITION No. 8964 of 2002 ORDER:

This writ petition is filed seeking to issue a writ of mandamus declaring the proceedings dated 30.04.2002 issued by the 2nd respondent appointing the 3rd respondent as Head of Department of Botany, as illegal and arbitrary.

Since the petitioner had retired from service during pendency of the writ petition, the cause in the writ petition does not survive for adjudication and, accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed as infructuous.
