Heard learned counsel for the petitioner/A.4, learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondent State and perused the record.

This petition is filed under Section 439 Cr.P.C. for grant of bail to the petitioner/A.4 in Crime No.10 of 2017 of Rolugunta Police Station, Visakhapatnam District, for the offence punishable under Sections 20(b)(ii)(B)(c), 25 read with Section 8(c) of NDPS Act.

The material on record reveals that the petitioner along with other accused was transporting 200 kgs of ganja in an auto bearing No.AP 35 9220. Police intercepted. On search, the same was seized under the cover of panchanama. There is no reason for the police to get huge quantity of ganja and file this case. The allegations are grave. There is stringent punishment prescribed for the above offence. The release of petitioner would hinder the investigation and trial of the case. There is possibility of repeating the similar offences. The quantity seized is a commercial quantity. There is no justifiable ground to allow this petition.
