2016-11-03Raja Elango1 pages

THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE RAJA ELANGO WRIT PETITION No.37573 of 2016 ORDER:

This writ petition under Article 226 of Constitution of India is filed to declare the action of the respondent police in registering the FIR No.406 of 2016.

Heard and perused the material available on record. The grievance of the petitioners is that the 4th respondent lodged a complaint against the petitioners before the 3rd respondent, which was registered as Crime No.406 of 2016, alleging that the petitioners used to demand additional dowry and used to harass her physically and mentally and also thrown her out from the matrimonial house. Considering the grievance of the petitioners, the 3rd respondent is directed to complete the investigation in FIR No.406 of 2016 as expeditiously as possible and file a final report, if any, either way in accordance with law, without arresting the petitioners. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition, shall stand closed.
