This Criminal Petition is filed under Section-482 of Cr.P.C. to quash the proceedings in Crime No.34 of 2016 of Dundigal Police Station, Cyberabad District registered for the offence punishable under Section-420 IPC.

Sri Md.Saleem, learned counsel for the petitioner, has fairly requested this Court to issue a direction to the Station House Officer, Dundigal Police Station to follow the procedure under Section-41-A of the Code of Criminal Procedure and the guidelines issued by the Apex Court in Arnesh Kumar Vs. State of Bihar1.

Accepting the request of the learned counsel for the petitioner, without touching the merits, I deem it appropriate to direct the Station House Officer, Dundigal Police Station, Cyberabad District to follow the procedure under Section-41-A of the Code of Criminal Procedure and the 1 (2014)8 SCC273

guidelines issued by the Apex Court in Arnesh Kumar (supra) subject to their applicability.

Subject to the above direction, the Criminal Petition is disposed of.
