Heard learned counsel for the petitioners, learned Government Pleader for Land Acquisition for respondents 1 and 2, learned Government Pleader for Irrigation for respondent No.6 and learned Government Pleader for Revenue for respondents 3 to 5.

This writ petition is filed alleging that the respondents are laying road on the outskirts of Godicharla Village, Donkada Villages of Nakkapalli Mandal, Visakhapatnam District, encroaching into part of their lands without following the due process.

Learned Government Pleader submits that though steps were taken to lay the road on government land, at this stage, laying of road is stopped seeking clarification from Irrigation department and soon after clarification is received from the Irrigation department, further steps will be taken. 4.

In the process of laying road if any portion of the private land is affected, the respondents shall follow due process before taking possession of private lands for public purpose. 5.
