HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE A.RAJASHEKER REDDY CONTEMPT CASE No.2498 OF 2017 O R D E R :

The Contempt Case is filed alleging violation of the order dated 12.10.2017 passed by this Court in WP.No.33376 of 2017, wherein this Court, pending further orders, directed the respondents to permit the petitioner to appear for the written examination/interview. Counter is filed stating that the selection is based on merit obtained in the qualifying examination i.e. Bachelor Degree and also based on percentage of hearing impairment, but not based on interview and written test. The procedure regarding the same is also filed. Learned counsel for the petitioner after referring to the procedure regarding conduct of selection, could not also dispute the same.

In view of the same, I do not see any violation of the order passed by this Court by the respondents. Whether the selection based on degree marks, only is proper, can be canvassed by the petitioner in the writ petition. However, it is open for the respondents to proceed with the selection, in accordance with the advertisement and Rules made there under.

With the above observations, the Contempt Case is dismissed. No order as to costs.

As a sequel thereto, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in the Contempt Case, shall stand closed. _____________________________ A.RAJASHEKER REDDY, J 14.03.2018 t k.
