The case of the petitioners is that the 3rd respondent - Tahsildar incorporated the name of unofficial respondent No.4 in the place of mother of the petitioners in the revenue records in respect of the subject land to an extent of Acs.4.00 in Sy.No.452/ 2 of Puppalaguda Village, Rajendranagar Mandal, Rangareddy District. Aggrieved by the same, they filed appeal before the 2nd respondent - Revenue Divisional Officer under Section 5(5) of Telangana Rights in Land and Pattadar Passbooks Act, 1971 (for short 'the Act') in the month of November, 2018. As the same is not being disposed of, the present writ petition is filed. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Assistant Government Pleader for Revenue.
Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, without expressing any opinion on merits, writ petition is disposed of directing the 2nd respondent to dispose of the appeal stated to have been filed by the petitioners under Section 5(5) of the Act in accordance with law, after giving notice and opportunity of hearing to the petitioners, unofficial respondent No.4 and other affected parties, if any, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Interlocutory applications pending, if any, shall stand closed. No costs.
