It is the case of the petitioners that they are landless poor persons, as such they are entitled for assignment of land and they made representations dated 20-11-2017 and 1 1-10-2018 to the 2nd respondent to consider their request for assignment of land to them. As the same are not being disposed of, the present writ petition is filed. Heard both sides.

In view of the facts and circumstances of the case, without expressing any opinion on merits, the writ petition is disposed of directing the 2nd respondent to dispose of the representations in accordance with law, as and when the respondents take any decision for grant of pattas. As a sequel to the disposal of this petition, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending shall stand closed.
