ORDER:

Petitioners claim to have purchased various plots mentioned in the affidavit filed in support of the writ petition, forming part of Sy.No.448-4 of S.Sedlapalli village, Hindupur Mandal, Anantapur district. Petitioners allege that without following due process, respondent authorities are attempting to dispossess the petitioners from their respective plots.

When the matter is taken up for consideration, learned Government Pleader produced copy of the proceedings of Joint Collector and Additional District Magistrate, Ananthapuramu made in D.Dis.No.E2/2718/2014 dated 25.03.2016. It is an order passed in Revision preferred by the persons mentioned therein. 3.

Reading of the order would show that Mandal Revenue Officer resumed the land in May, 1989 and was transferred to Sericulture Department vide proceedings Rc.No.393/91, dated 27.07.1991. Aggrieved by the said resumption, the legal heirs presented the Revision before the Joint Collector. By the said order, Revision was dismissed. According to learned Government Pleader, this order has become final as no challenge was made before the higher authority or in the Court of law. 4.

Since, the reading of the order itself would show that land was resumed long ago and was allotted to Sericulture Department in the year 1991, the claim of petitioners that they have validly purchased the said land and are in possession merits no consideration at this stage. Leaving it open to petitioners to work

out their remedy, if so advised, against the alleged order of resumption, Writ Petition is dismissed. Pending miscellaneous petitions shall stand closed.
