The case of the petitioners is that their lands were acquired by the 2nd respondent and the 3rd respondent issued award notice on 23-01-2016 under Section 37(2) of Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in the Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 (for short "the Act") directing the petitioners to submit documents regarding payment of compensation. The petitioners submitted the documents within the stipulated time. But as on today, no further action is taken for payment of compensation. Aggrieved by the same, the present writ petition is filed. Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and learned Assistant Government Pleader for Land Acquisition. Since it is stated that the petitioners have submitted all the documents in pursuance to the notice dated 23-01-2016 under Section 37 of the Act, it is for the 3rd respondent to consider the same and take appropriate action for payment of compensation in accordance with law.

In view of the same, the 3rd respondent is directed to consider the documents submitted by the petitioners and take action for payment of compensation in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. As a sequel to the disposal of this petition, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending shall stand closed. _________________________ A.RAJASHEKER REDDY,J 30-11-2017 Nvl
