Heard learned counsel for the petitioner, learned Government Pleader for Social Welfare for respondent No.1 and learned Standing counsel for respondent No.2. 2.

Petitioner is a contractor and was granted lease of Almas Function Hall, Kothapet, Kurnool, for a period of three years operative from 05.01.2017 valid till 04.01.2020. While so, online tender notification was issued calling for tenders for lease of Almas Function Hall. Aggrieved thereby, this writ petition is filed.

When the matter is taken up, learned Standing counsel for the Waqf Board, produced written instructions furnished to him, by the Chief Executive Officer, Waqf Board, dated 11.12.2018, stating that no such instructions were issued calling for tenders and the said e-auction notice was wrongly displayed on the website. He therefore, submits that by mistake the tender notification was displayed and there is no intention to call for tenders before expiry of lease already granted to the petitioner. 4.

Having regard to the above submissions, the Writ Petition is disposed of. However, it is needless to observe that petitioner shall continue to pay the lease amount. Pending miscellaneous petitions shall stand closed.
